BIR Finance - A Zoho Experience

If you’re familiar with Zoho One, you know that it’s a powerful tool that integrates multiple business activities into one connected operating system. And that’s a beautiful thing when it functions as you expect it to. However, like all operating systems, they undergo regular updates to improve their functionality, and unless you keep up with these upgrades, you may find yourself scratching your head when what worked yesterday isn’t working today.

Michael utilises Zoho Campaigns to keep in regular communication with his clients via value packed email campaigns, and Zoho CRM functions as a database for his clients’ contact details.  Together, Zoho Campaigns and Zoho CRM work in tandem to generate newsletters, emails, and other electronic communication content.

Charli’s goal was not only to make Zoho One function properly, but to also educate and train Michael on the processes. With this knowledge, he is empowered to investigate future concerns on his own. 

As a result of Charli’s review, she was able to resolve Michael’s issue by segmenting his contact list and filtering out contacts that wouldn’t require an email anytime soon. This solution kept Michael within his current plan’s contact limit and saved him money by avoiding a subscription upgrade.

Charli also demonstrated how Zoho Campaigns ‘Autoresponder’ and ‘Workflow’ functions work. These features are fantastic automations to use for follow-up emails for unopened email contacts, or those who have clicked on specified links. A massive time saver and clever way to optimize your EDM’s open rates and response.

Michael also required assistance with ClickSend SMS; however, it was discovered that Zoho One hasn’t completed the integration of this application yet. Other SMS apps are available, and Michael will investigate an alternative.

Best of all, JM Virtual Business Services offer a ‘Call a Friend’ subscription for clients to reach out for ad hoc help with anything related to Zoho One. This is ideal for a quick fix that could potentially save a client hours of Googling and tinkering to work out a solution themselves.
